Not out to create an image, or to follow the trends that dictate today’s music scene, NEW DAY was formed as an outlet in the summer of 2002.  This powerful quartet generates a heavy, aggressive sound that reflects their individual influences from three decades of metal.

April 2003

Started recording their debut material at Hole of the Pigeon Studios in Jacksonville, FL.

 

July 2003

Inspired by the events of 9-11-2001, the debut disc, titled PSYCHO NETWORK, was self-released on July 4, 2003.

June 2004

Started recording initial tracks for their second disc at Vision Sound Studios in Orange Park, FL.

 

July 2004

Guitarist Vincent Tentis left the band to serve in the United States Air Force.

 

October 2004

The second disc, titled EUPHEMISM, was completed and self-released.

 

NEW DAY - Euphemism - 2004

 

November 2004

Guitarist Jeff Brownlie joined the band to replace the departed Vincent Tentis.   

 

February 2005

Jeff Brownlie made his debut performance with the band at Jack Rabbits (Jacksonville, FL).

 

June 2005

Guitarist AJ Lawson left the band to pursue other interests.

 

August 2006

After a year-long string of shows supporting the Euphemism disc, New Day returned to Vision Sound to begin recording their 3rd disc.  GRIND, the first recording with guitarist Jeff Brownlie, was tracked, mixed and mastered over the next several months.

 

December 2006

Mastering of GRIND is completed and the pressing begins.

NEW DAY can be seen performing at various venues throughout the Southeast in support of  GRIND.
